I'm scared. I'm literally shedding a tear out of shock.

Nabiha is in China by herself where I hooked her up with native Deng Wang - they now live together in a vacation house she bought. They are engaged and for the first time ever, I decided to throw my Sim a bachelorette party. It went well. A male stripper showed up and everything. The party started 9 PM. It is now around 5:30 AM...

And...VJ just came into the house (sneaking up to scare her) as if he'd been there all along. Where the heck did he come from? And it is just him. Judging by the info shown when I hover my mouse over his portrait, he is her step-dad from back in Twinbrook who is a vampire now. But this VJ is not vampiric looking at all despite that his portrait is outlined in purple/magenta. How does he show up in China out of nowhere?

VJ just listed himself as part of the household in China...he is alive, I tell you

Wow! Your sims sure seem to like to make their lives very complicated! I have no idea how anything like that happens. You said you play "vanilla". Sounds like you're pretty adventurous. I can't even get my sims to whoo-woo.

Mind you, I only have a handful of games so my sims don't travel far. They have just moved down the road from SV to RV.

I prefer the vanilla visual style also known as Maxis Match. I play with all packs installed and some NRaas mods

I can add to the above story that VJ eventually displayed his greyish vampire skintone after a few in-game hours. I cancelled the whole romance/wedding thing with Deng, and had VJ and Nabiha travel back home. Once there, I discovered that VJ's wardrobe was completely messed up. I don't know how, but script-wise, he apparently went rogue there for a bit. My hubby was really weirded out by this incident as well.

If I remember correctly, you mention that (wardrobe messed up) has happened before in another save.

It seems like it's due to traveling. What part of traveling I'm not sure and not sure how to fix it.  That might be something to look into. Maybe Trip might know??

I saw in yesterday's chapter of your story here that Clone VJ got turned into a vampire? *Grin*  So hopefully that means Yasmine will get turned into a Vampire too?

And uh... Nindigo... Let's not talk about Sim parties.... lol

They can last til -way- past the wee-hours of the morning. It's been my experience I have to kick Sims out as some will stay as long as you let them.

If I remember correctly turning off the stereo/tv sometimes helps. Unless you've got an unruly Sim on the lot who ends up turning it back on. hehehehe

I don't deal well with heat. Or cold. I need to find me a country that has moderate temperatures year round, lol.

Another weird thing happened today. I had just saved my game. Then my hubby distracts me with some question and I proceed to shut my computer off instead of just exiting the game which is what I had planned. When I turned my computer on again and loaded up the game, my save is gone - only the backup remains, and it is from before the latest two WA trips. Just geez...

That almost happend to me last night. = Shutting down the computer before quitting the game. I was literally falling at the keyboard. lol

I think you can rename your SV-GC-04b.sims3.backup file. Delete the .backup and you've got your save SV-GC-04b.sims3.

Or did you already try that?

Around here it doesn't usually get too cold in the winters. And it usually doesn't get too hot, but with the extreme heat wave that happened earlier I'm beginning to wonder if that's going to become a "normal" thing around here. I hope not. 3-4 days of living through that kind of heat is not good.

We've been getting near 70s-80s during the day and mid-50s to 60s overnights.  It's been actually tolerable. lol

I did rename the backup file first thing, no worries. But I lost a good chunk of play - a townie cleanup among other things. And the latest update to my story hasn't happened

It's around 80 here right now. Was a little higher earlier (it's 7 PM now).
