I have discovered that I enjoy building houses from horror games/movies.

The Bate's Motel house is just down the road from me. It's a good candidate for that genre. :D

I might. When I feel they are fleshed out enough :)

Been working on one from a video I watched today.

I set myself up a new play-save. I usually do every now and again, depending on what I am wanting to do with the save.

I found every time I sent my Sim to the consignment shop, they went to the side door. I saved the lot to the library, placed it into a test-save to do some testing.

What I found was that since I have 3 external doors on the lot I needed to set one of the as the front door. Made sure doing so would work in testing.

Then I went to make the change in my play-save and wasn't able to. Something must have glitched the save. Luckily I'm not that far into it. I can pack up the family and their house and take 'em into a new copy of my save that I set up.

I feel slightly embarrassed, as it's something I should have known to look for. *Blush*

I feel your pain, MrsFlynn. I've just spent the last hour looking for a particular set of objects that I've been using extensively for a long time. I knew it was TSR and I searched under every possible category. I finally found it but the reason it wasn't showing up in any searches is because the objects were given French names. I was finally able to find it but searching the artist. I even had some pieces in my save file on my desktop but they weren't what I was looking for and I didn't connect them with what I *was* looking for.

Avoiding Aliens
« Reply #1489 on: August 24, 2022, 05:29:43 AM »
It's sometimes impossible to find favorite cc pieces. Sometimes though it helps to know friends that are more familiar with CC than you to help you find those pieces. lol

In that same save that I was having problems with my consignment shop, aliens abducted my male Sim. I was surprised, actually. That had been the first time it happened since I enabled Seasons again. I looked up a mod to stop abductions and now testing it to see if it works.

The alien abductions are few and far between from what I understand, so it may take a bit to see if the mod works.

I've read where if you're trying to Avoid the Noid, err... I mean alien abductions is to not use the telescope either at all or at night, not sure which or if it's both. Get rid of space rocks if you have any. And uhm.... Don't stay up all hours of the night. lol *Blush*

More info on Aliens and avoiding them:

It's rare to have an Alien spawn without triggering it. Using the telescope, having high logic and meteor stones on your lot increase your chances. Otherwise its super rare. And your sim will never be impregnated without these circumstances. They will just visit outside your lot late at night and then leave if you don't interact with them. They wont move into town or anything.
