I haven't actually fully played a family and just let them do their own thing. Florence is at the prom and has apparently hit it off with a boy I don't know. I'll have to keep an eye on that situation. Jesse has won a 2-day vacation for the adults in the house and apparently leaving the teens in charge will be just fine. I have a feeling that won't end well. What could go wrong?

Florence was crowned Prom Queen and, of course, wants world peace.

If you send the parents off on vacation, make sure to save before doing so. I've personally never had a problem with it, but some players report that the game crashes or the parents never come back (though that would make for a great storyline).

It was the game that sent the parents off on vacation. I didn't know that was a thing. Things went well though. The plumbing broke and the dogs/kids got fleas but they handled it. Mom and dad are back and Florence was scolded by Jesse because she apparently missed going to her part-tme job because she was busy giving one of the dogs a bath.
I'm working on gettng each of my Sims to realize their LTWs but it's hard managing a family of 6 (including 2 dogs that pee everywhere). I can't seem to catch the dogs in the act so that I can scold them. :D Some days this is too muh for my poor addled brain.  ::) :o

Yep, the bigger the family, the more chaos you get. I get bored with just one sim though.

I have several large families. The three boarding house ones - the single girls, the single guys and the Saltwood House group.
The Moores and the Brealeys each have 4 or 5 kids. Those two families are based on real people. The Moores lived next door to us and the Brealeys were good friends. He and my husband worked together.
Most of my Sims are based on real people. My doc for example, and other friends. Some of them are based on celebrities - Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds is one. When I created him I showed him to my sister. She said he was cute but preferred Jamie Fraser from Outlander, so I reated him as well. Ramona Singer is from Real Housewives of New York. I was going through the randomizer looking for a new Sim and and as soon as I saw her I knew she was Ramona. I gave her all the characteristics of the real Ramona which aren't very pleasant. :D

Farmer Gorman

Allison Gorman was invited to Taylor's party.
All she did was stand at the bar and had one drink after another on an empty stomach. I expected her to get "juiced" but she didn't. She did have a slow dance with Frank Stem though it seems she's not much of a dancer. She kept stepping on his toes. I finally had to send her home at 5:00 a.m.
Next day she did some planing on her farm. She had just planted a rare seed and her horse Vudu came along and ate it.

Are both Frank and Allison single? My biggest gripe is the lack of single people when my sims are looking for mates. I wish there was a mod out there that would limit the online dating list to only those who are single or married with commitment issues. Not every married sim should be out looking for an alternate lover. I prefer using the Sim Finder App. I think those are randomly generated at the time of the request so they are single. What a cute little foal your onery plant-eating horse has!

Yes, both are single and both are farmers. Allison is an elder based on a character in a book. - handy, animal lover, grumpy (my ex-dil's name is Allison...'nuff said),green thumb, frugal.

I thought I'd take her into Nraas CAS and change her to an adult from an elder but decided that it just made her another single female instead of the character she was meant to be.
Frank  has a good sense of humor (opposites attract?), handy, good, gren thumb and friendly. It might turn out that he's into older women so I'm letting that figure itself out.

I thought it would be easier to play a single sim for a while after the large household of my last play. Right...
She's a farmer. She has 3 horses, 2 of which are foals that need to be bottle fed andd "miss mother" so they need lots of attention. She has cows that need to be fed and milked. She has chickens that need to be fed and their eggs harvested. She has gardens which need to be planted, tended and harvested and in order to meet her LTW (First Class Farmer from the MTS Back to Nature mod), she has to sell a certain amount of produce. I tried putting Savvy Seller rugs at the end of her driveway and put eggs on them to see if they would sell. That didn't work so I have to figure out something else.

She can sell product directly from her inventory to the Simoleon symbol but it doesn't register in the Career panel as earnings or job experience. I thought that might be why the rugs or produce cart didn't work but I guess not.

I thought this would be an easy one to just let it play out on it's own but she'd rather sit in her rocking chair rather than feed her starving horses.
I know two real life black and white horses that are named Voodoo so that's why mine is named Vudu. It's not a misspelling. :)

I know selling the produce at the grocery store rabbithole should count. Milk can be made into cheese and the cheese can be sold. I don't know if the eggs count toward the career - they should - but if not eggs are used in a lot of recipes, so this should reduce the grocery bill. I had Frank sell his produce at the store or use it to make nectar and sell the nectar.

I was beginning to get a bit frustrated with the whole farm/garden thing because it keeps freezing on me. I guess because of horses, cows, chickens, etc, there's too much going on. I'm happy because someone just purchased some produce from the produce stand I have out front. That's something so at least I know that works.
