Oh you know, Moonlight Falls with the default lighting does kind of have a cloudy-rainy day look to it. That definitely doesn't appeal to a lot of players. lol

Except those of us who are from the actual area the town is inspired by.  I love the town because the overall feel, the mountainous area and beautiful houses.

There's lots to love about Monte Vista too. It's warm glow is -so- beautiful it just speaks warm summer days to me. Perfect to play in the winter time. :)

What beautiful screenshots!!

I remember you did the ghost hunter profession in Monte Vista once - I think we both did, in fact. Then we did the PI in Riverview together with Playalot. I could try the PI in Twinbrook with Anna-Liza :D

Well, with VJ's LTW being to become a Descendant of Da Vinci, Monte Vista is a pretty good choice. I didn't give it any thought when I moved them, though. Me slowpoke *fierce blush*

Yep, we've done the Ghost Hunter and PI career with Play before. That was -so- much fun!!

That would be great to do another play-through together of the PI Career. Do we want to setup a thread for it and share notes and whatnot?

We certainly could! I think I would like to do that for a start with Anna-Liza. I can always continue her story afterwards if I decide to. She comes with the Perceptive trait which is perfect, but needs lifetime happiness to change her current LTW of becoming a Star News Anchor in the journalism career, which I doubt she will achieve anyway since she is retired from that career when you begin the game. This old lady has some interesting quirks though. I just love her.

What would be the rules of the playthrough? I play with store items and mods, but nothing which could affect job/work-related gameplay. She also comes with some skill points here and there. I guess I could redo her with MC or by making her anew, but her starting relations are kinda part of her story, so I'm a bit loathe to go drastic.

Store items, cc and mods would be fine. You can leave her with what skills/traits she has. I was thinking maybe changing the LTW to Pervasive Private Eye? So that way the game can help keep track of what cases you've accomplished. If you don't want to change the LTW, then make note of what cases she gets. She'll need to get 35 cases. Repeats are fine as they still count. As they do for the Pervasive Private Eye LTW.

You can even up-friendship levels where needed. lol I've been doing that to help cases go more smoothly.

I can't think of any set rules, but if you want we can follow what Play came up with when we did the play-through the first time?

Though I'm playing in Sunset Valley for the moment and then trying it one more time in Appaloosa Plains to see the differences between playing single rabbitholes vs combo rabbitholes.

Okay, cool. I would change her LTW to exactly that. The only rule I'll be breaking is that I'll be playing in Twinbrook instead of Riverview ;D

I'll write down notes about her cases.

Currently, I'm enjoying some time in Champs Les Sims with my Alvis. Mostly just to gather up some items, books and ingredients. But I have enjoyed this destination far too little.

New Alvi chapt0r is up.

Playing in different towns is fine. Actually that's a good idea to play in different towns. As I'm curious what cases you might have issues with vs what cases I have issues with.

I'll put together a thread for us to share our gameplay notes and whatnots. :)

Have had some trouble with disappearing Monte Vista hairstyle today. I still don't know how to get it back. I moved my saves to a new folder and only installed the world and its two venues (saying goodbye to the farm animals and cute clothes). But the hat style is still missing. Something always gets me down.

I saw your post about it at Carl's. I wasn't sure if you were asking for help or not, so I was going to pm you about it.

Trying to make sure I'm understanding what steps you've taken.

1. Created new folder, copied over save file.
2. Installed MV and the Venue lots.

Though hat (Tuscan Sunhat) is still missing?

If this isn't the hat you're talking about. Do you have a photo and name of the hat to help search on it? This might help figure out why it's missing.
